Thanks for having stolen our PCs

Posted by openPicus | On: Oct 06 2011

We are angry! Two stupid guys came into our office, last night, and have stolen our PCs. Hope you’re happy now ’cause you’ll have the money to buy your sweeties!

Nothing is more pestering than wanting to work and can not do it, because someone decided to stole them.

Nothing is more pestering knowing that someone turns on your PC and come into your life. I hope you’re happy, you moron!

you did not have by any chance a DynDNS or No-IP client running on it? That way you can try to detect an IP address when it is attached to the internet…

  3. Claudio says:

I had my stuff on dropbox, thanks God…but not everything. No dynDNS…but from now we have to use these systems.
Maybe it was somebody looking to take our secrets?! :-) we are open and so no secret here guys!

If you have dropbox you can track rhe ip at the next boot from the dropbox site…

Hi, have u called the police? Maybe there are some fingerprints..
Stole is not nice so they will have what they deserve

In Italy?? Police is not even coming here….I hate this country sometimes, I wanna live in a normal place, not in a place where the prime minister first thought is not ‘what I’ll do today for my country’ but ‘I hope to have enough Viagra tonight…’. Sorry but here if you are working and paying taxes you are the only one that has no rights, it’s incredible….

However we have cam registration and now we are also trying to have another record where maybe is visible their car.

Thank you guys for all the post, the suggestions and the sympathy! :)

Every country has a dark side. Here in Portugal police says ohh we would see what we can do… We pay lots of taxes and now they are cutting in all, and since 1 october the tax of water, electricity and gas rises from 6% to 23% amazing…

Any way did u lost many important data related to openpicus project?
Hope the team find a solution to solve this situaton.

    Regards

  9. Claudio says:

No, the project is safe first of all because everything was on dropbox (we share between us using tha system).
And…they can stole the pc, the desk, the chair…bt not our ideas! :-) )
